FAQ

Straight answers before the job starts.

Basic information about estimates, service areas, scope, and what to send when you contact Birds Beware.

What areas do you serve?

Birds Beware focuses on Cecil County and Harford County, Maryland. Send your address when requesting an estimate so travel and scheduling can be confirmed.

Can I get an estimate from photos?

Often, photos are enough to start with a rough estimate. Larger, unusual, or unclear jobs may need an in-person look before final pricing is confirmed.

What services do you currently offer?

Property and yard cleanup, junk removal, mowing and lawn work, mulch and light landscaping, residential and commercial interior/exterior window cleaning, and accessible gutter cleaning. Exact scope depends on the property and access.

Are you insured?

Yes. Birds Beware Exterior Services carries business insurance. Proof of insurance is also shown on the Our Story page.

What should I send for a quote?

Your name, address, the service you need, several clear photos, and a short description of the result you want. Better information usually means a faster and more accurate estimate.

Do hauling, disposal, or materials affect the price?

Yes. Disposal, material quantities, access, travel, buildup, and job conditions can change the scope. Those items should be confirmed in the estimate before work begins.

How can I pay?

Birds Beware accepts cash, check, Cash App, and credit/debit card payments through Square. Payment timing and any deposit requirements are shown on the estimate or agreement for the job.

Do you offer recurring service?

Recurring mowing and lawn-service arrangements may be available depending on your location, route, and schedule. Ask when requesting the estimate.

Do I need to be home while you work?

Not always. If the work area can be accessed safely and the scope is already approved, we can confirm access instructions before the scheduled visit. Some jobs may still need an on-site walkthrough.

What happens if weather affects the job?

Outdoor work can depend on rain, ground conditions, wind, heat, or material delivery. If conditions make the scheduled work unreasonable or unsafe, we will communicate about the next workable time.

Do larger jobs require a deposit?

Some larger or material-heavy projects may require a scheduling deposit. If one is needed, the amount and payment terms will be written into the estimate or agreement before work begins.

What should I do with pets, gates, or locked areas?

Let us know about pets, locked gates, restricted areas, or anything that could affect access. Pets should be kept safely away from the active work area while equipment is being used.

Can I combine more than one service?

Yes. If you need multiple services, select all that apply in the estimate builder or list them in your text. Bundling work into one visit may make scheduling and cleanup easier, depending on the project.

Still have a question?

Text photos and the address or use the estimate form.
